The Ford 1 (Camp Zone) occurrence is located on a west facing slope, in the southwestern head waters of Petersen Creek.

The area is underlain mainly by plutonic rocks of the Jurassic to Tertiary Coast Plutonic Complex.

Locally, a silicified, limonitic and sericitized quartz-monzonite hosts disseminated pyrite, pyrrhotite and irregular molybdenite and chalcopyrite.

In 2006, grab samples (Ford 34 through 36) assayed from 0.106 to 0.134 per cent copper, 0.271 to 1.073 per cent molybdenum, 33 to 61 grams per tonne silver and 1.47 to 3.07 grams per tonne gold (Assessment Report 27699).

In 2018, rock samples from the Camp zone yielded values of up to 0.194 gram per tonne gold, 6.1 grams per tonne silver, 0.444 per cent zinc, 0.050 per cent copper and 0.030 per cent molybdenum (Cookenboo¸H. (2019-01-10): Technical Report on the Southern Spectrum Mineral Property).

Work History

During 2004 through 2007, TTM Resources completed a program of geological mapping, geochemical sampling and airborne geophysical surveys on the area as the Molygold project. During 2016 through 2018, Ridgeline Exploration, on the behalf of Rain Resources Corp., completed a program of rock and soil sampling and an airborne magnetic survey on the area as the Southern Spectrum property.
